POLYURETHANE RIGID FOAM

GENERAL

RIGIFOAM PU35 is a Polyurethane (PU) rigid foam offering the highest performance for the following applications :

*Thermal Insulation*Buoyancy*Refrigerated/Insulated Truck Bodies*Decorative Design*Cold Room Panels

CHARACTERISTICS

-RIGIFOAM PU35 has excellent thermal conductivity and very high compressive strength in relation to other     insulation materials.

-RIGIFOAM PU35 can be supplied in sheet or pipe section form, to suite application requirements.

-RIGIFOAM PU35 has a low level of chlorine. RIGIFOAM PIC35 should be used in application of above 60'C to reduce risks of stress corrosion cracking.

-RIGIFOAM PU35 is dimensionally stable in the range -120'C to +120'C.

-RIGIFOAM PU35 is chemical resistant, therefore, giving a wide range of lamination procedures and adhesives (refer data sheet RX41A).

-RIGIFOAM PU35 has a high level of closed cells, therefore, offering high levels of buoyancy.

DESCRIPTION :

    Rigid Polyurethane Closed Cell foam can be supplied in sheet form (slab stock) or pipe sections.

DENSITY :

35kg/m(cubed)- Minimum density. Core sample may exhibit variations of up to 10%. Test to SABS 1383 of 1983 - Part 5.6

COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH :

Parallel to rise :

RIGIFOAM PU35                300 kPa

Perpendicular to rise

RIGIFOAM PU35                170 kPa

Variations of 10% may be found. Test to SABS 1383 of 1983 - Part 5.7

CLOSED CELL CONTENT :

Minimum value : 90%. Test to SABS 1383 of 1983- Part 5.8

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY :

At 10'C : 0.022w/m2(squared)'C.

DIMENSIONAL STABILITY :

At -15'C                        Dimensional Change :<1%

At 100'C                        Dimensional Change :<2%

FIRE PERFORMANCE :

RIGIFOAM PU35 is a fire retarded, RIGIFOAM PU35 is recommended where good fire performance is required
