Excellent thermal properties and lightweight.
Polystyrene is made by polymerising styrene, which is produced by combining benzene and ethylene.
POLYSTYRENE SHEETS
The functions of Polystyrene sheets in insulation
• Thermal insulation: Polystyrene sheets are used as thermal insulation material in walls, roofs, and floors to reduce heat transfer and improve energy efficiency.
• Moisture resistance: Polystyrene sheets are moisture-resistant, making them suitable for use in damp environments.
• Durable: Polystyrene sheets are durable and do not degrade over time, making them a long-lasting insulation option.
• Lightweight: Polystyrene sheets are lightweight and easy to handle, which makes them easy to install and reduces the overall weight of a building.
• Cost-effective: Polystyrene sheets are an affordable insulation option that can help reduce energy costs and improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
• Versatile: Polystyrene sheets can be cut and shaped to fit various spaces, making them a versatile insulation option for different types of buildings.
• Fire resistance: Some polystyrene sheets are treated with fire retardants to improve their fire resistance and make them safer for use in buildings.
About Product
The polystyrene thus produced is one of the thermoplastic materials sometimes called linear polymers. These are materials that soften on the applications of heat and harden as they cool.

The expanded foam (known as EPS) is produced as small beads containing a pentane blowing agent which is expanded by treatment with steam to form pre-foam of the required density. The pre-foam is then fed into moulds and more heat (steam) is applied. This heat fuses the beads together to produce items in a variety of shapes and sizes or to make blocks for cutting into sheets and other products.
